Robert Novak, RIP

I came of age politically in the 80's watching him hold forth on The McLaughlin Group. My favorite political observer/writer. May God rest his soul.

Agreed -

Mr. Novak was a good man. I used to watch him on Crossfire. Sharp as a tack.

I was happy that he chose the Catholic faith - good choice!

* Love your cartoons...

Thanks Brian. His family had a beach house in Fenwick Island, and when his book came out in '06, he was doing a signing at Bethany Beach. I just missed meeting him down there, but was lucky enough to get one of the books he'd signed.

Another solid conservative voice silenced - may he rest in peace.

Why do we assume that this person has a chance at resting in peace? What makes a person Catholic? And why do we know that he died in the state of grace?

As a Catholic, he had access to the Sacraments.

Are you Michael Kinsley? I'm trying to think of Bob's old sparring partners. It can't be Tom Braden, because he's already passed on. And it can't be James Carville, so come on, fess up! You're with CNN, aren't you??

hehehe
